Day 1

Your journey back in time begins with a guided walking tour around the ancient city of Dadan. Learn about one of the most significant discoveries in AlUla, and immerse yourself in the incredible story of more than 2000-year-old civilisations.

This evening, we recommend visiting Elephant Rock, where you can enjoy a relaxing time amidst stunning natural surroundings. Take pleasure in sipping a cup of coffee while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 2

Your day begins taking in the stunning craftsmanship of the ancient Nabataeans at Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was left almost forgotten but for the Bedouins, for the best part of 2,000 years. Still referred to as the “other Petra”, Hegra presents an uncommon opportunity to connect directly with human history in an archaeological dreamland of Nabataean tombs dating back to the first century. This is one of the world's most compelling open-air museums, where there is thought to be a lot still to uncover. Explore the expansive area in a vintage Land Rover, cruising from carved tombs to secret ceremonial chambers.

Next, visit the Old Town. A local guide will take you around the impressive maze of AlUla’s Old Town. Wandering the ruins, you will be immersed in the history of once one of the most prolific ancient trading routes. Cool off under the palms, strolling along the Heritage Oasis Trail. To finish your day, we recommend stopping for dinner at one of the highly-regarded restaurants in the Old Town to fully enjoy the local culinary experience.

Day 3

Begin your day with an unforgettable hot air balloon ride, soaring over AlUla’s breathtaking landscape and heritage-carved rock formations. Upon landing, return to your hotel for a leisurely breakfast. Enjoy a relaxed morning before shifting gears for an adrenaline-filled afternoon. Navigate AlUla’s dramatic sandstone mountains on a guided UTV adventure, weaving through narrow canyons and golden dunes. Conclude the day at the Harrat Viewpoint, taking in panoramic desert vistas before indulging in a spectacular dinner overlooking the serene oasis.

Day 4

Spend your morning at leisure before embarking on a nature safari through the breathtaking Sharaan Nature Reserve. Explore dramatic canyons and uncover ancient petroglyphs while your expert Conservation Guide shares local folklore. Capture stunning photos of unique rock formations shaped by time.

As the sun sets, relax atop a canyon, sipping a refreshing drink and enjoying delicious canapés. Later, embark on a nocturnal eco-walk, using UV lights to spot elusive wildlife. End the night with a traditional South African braai in a beautifully lit canyon, followed by an awe-inspiring stargazing session with a guided astronomy talk.
